In “History of astronomy from the early 20th century to the early 21st century,” I explained how Modified Newtonian Dynamics tried to explain, and Verlinde gravity succeeded to explain, galaxy rotation curves. Here, I provide the details. Verlinde connected the expansion of universe with galaxy rotation curves. Therefore, I included the article on the expanding universe in this section, even though it could as well have belonged to another section. The second article and the third article are the main part of this section. I was convinced that Verlinde gravity was correct, when I found out that Verlinde had derived Tully-Fisher relation.
